This may sound crazy, but stick with us. This Breakfast Margarita is a cocktail with protein! Some of you out there may be counting your macros and finding it hard to get adequate protein by the end of the day – well, the Breakfast Margarita could be an option for you. For breakfast? We’re not necessarily condoning morning cocktails….but maybe on a holiday weekend… like, I don’t know … Memorial Day weekend which is right around the corner! But really, this cocktail can be enjoyed at any time of the day and is super easy to make.
- 3 ounces vodka
- 2-3 oz fresh lemon juice (I buy organic lemon juice) Santa Cruz brand
- 1 oz sugar free vanilla simple syrup
- 3 tablespoons egg whites
Put ingredients in shaker with ice and shake like a crazy person. That’s what makes it frothy, cold, and oh so good.
Strain into a martini glass and enjoy!
